Cousin Love

This year the Moore side of the family was blessed with 3 sweet bundles of joy in two months! Today, the three little cuties got together for some outdoor fun!

Oh, how I look forward to watching them grow up and the many play times together!

Fall Wreath

I have to admit that I am totally addicted to Pinterest!! I love to glance over the thousands of grand ideas and hope to think I can complete all my favorites (in all my free time...HA!). My mind is racing with tons of things to complete, especially with the holidays approaching! I have tried several delicious recipes and a couple of cute crafty things for the babies, but I was really hoping to complete a beautiful fall wreath for our front door. I had aspirations that it would add some charm to our house and would hopefully distract from the lovely plant bed disaster in front of our house (kudos to Bree, our forever digging lab). Well, with lots of help from my mom, and these inspirations from Pinterest (Wreath 1 and Wreath 2), we completed the wreath and I absolutely LOVE it! It adds a nice "pop" to our door! I have more plans in store for our front stoop area (like paint the door black, get a new handle/lock, add urns and plants on either side of the door, etc), but that will come when I find some more time! For now, enjoy our new fall decor!

Pumpkins and Picnics

This Friday our family (Chris, my Mom, Levi, Lila Kate, and I) ventured out to Burt's Pumpkin Farm for a day of fall fun. The weather was perfect! The company great! The memories made were priceless! The babies loved looking at all the new things around them!

I LOVE the holidays and couldn't wait to begin the many family traditions that surround them with my little pumpkins!

We got our "perfect" pumpkin to carve and bake its seeds.

The twins were enamored with everything around them, but they still managed to see what the other thought about their experience.

After we enjoyed our time at Burt's we headed over to Amicalola Falls State Park to enjoy the sunshine and have a picnic lunch.

Levi and Lila Kate loved enjoying the sunshine and their bananas and carrots!

Levi found a leaf to play with...he is so enthralled with all different textures!

Lila wanted to enjoy her time in Mommy's lap.

Of course they both love playing with their Gigi!

And Miss Daddy's Girl had to get up and move around before we were quite finished.

It was such fantastic weather we decided to head over to the playground and let the babies swing for the first time!

Levi definitely enjoyed it, but was reserved with his emotions! :)

No words are needed to explain how Lila felt about her first swinging experience!

The day was a blast and I'm so thankful for two sweet babies to share in the first of many holiday traditions!

Today we used our goodies from Burt's to enjoy carving our pumpkin, roasting our seeds (pumpkin pie pumpkin seeds are delicious!), and savoring our pumpkin bread!

Memories in the Making

My absolute favorite thing to do these days is to sit outside and play with Levi and Lila Kate. They love soaking in the outdoor world around them...listening and seeing all the new sights and sounds. And I love watching their faces as they discover new things! These are some of the best memories (so far) and I know there will be many more to come! I hope you are enjoying your family and the beautiful weather outdoors!

Swiper!

For those of you that have seen Dora the Explorer you will understand the nickname that has been assigned to Miss Lila Kate, "Swiper!" She loves to take anything and everything that Levi has. It first started with toys, then moved to paci swiping, but the most recent event made me truly laugh out loud!

Every morning I get the babies up, change their diapers, put on clothes and then get everything ready for the day. When I go to get all the bottles cleaned, filled, dishes started, laundry going, etc. I put Levi and Lila in one crib together so they can have some "twin time." I have been doing this since they were about 3 months and they are so cute in the bed, giggling, laughing, and squealing with each other.
Well, last week I put them in the bed together after I changed their diapers, but didn't put their clothes on and went to get started on my morning chores. I heard them in the room having a great time laughing together. After I finished my chores I went in their room to get them up and they were still just playing away. I thought to myself, "It would be great if I could just get the laundry put up while they are still playing so happily together"...so that is what I did. About halfway through putting up the laundry, I noticed those sweet little giggles had faded and it seemed a little too quiet. I went in their room and saw the bumper pad pushed down, two little eyes peeking through the bed slats and Lila smiling at me with Levi's paci in her mouth.

 I walked over to the bed to get the babies out and noticed Lila had a diaper in her hand. I quickly looked down to see if her diaper was missing...NO hers was on just fine! Then, I looked over at Levi, and with the most confused, scared, and somewhat invaded look on his face I saw that he was diaper-less! I looked back at Lila and she just smiled and giggled!! :) I guess I learned my lesson...I can't leave babies with just diapers on around our little "Swiper," Lila Kate!!
